ESCAPE ROOM FAQ
Will we share a room?
No. When you book an escape room, you will be the only players in that room.
What is the age range for doing an escape room?
We have many younger children and teens who love the concept of escape rooms and we don’t want to disappoint them. As a result, we have created more than one set of clues for each room, which means we are able to tailor the room to the age group playing the game. So as long as you are over 10, we can accommodate you. For 6-9 year olds, we have dedicated Junior Escape rooms.
We have never been to an escape room before – will we enjoy it?
Escape rooms are currently enjoying a huge surge in popularity across the country. As long as you’re keen to try it out and give it a go, you’ll have a good time. Even if you don’t manage to escape, you’ll enjoy the buzz and challenge of the escape room experience – and you’ll do better second room round!
What should we wear?
Light comfortable clothing is usually best… that said, we’ve had groups dressed up to the nines before hitting the town, so anything goes!!
Can I add or remove people from my booking?
Yes you may add people to your booking so long as the number of people does not exceed the maximum capacity for the escape room you have booked. Each additional player will be at an additional cost. You may also remove people, subject to minimum numbers.
When do we need to arrive for our escape room game?
Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of your escape experience. This will ensure that we can get you started on time.
Will people jump out on us?
None of our rooms include live people jumping out – our customers have been clear that they prefer this not to happen.
What happens if we don’t escape in time?
We deliberately leave a gap between room bookings which means that we can sometimes give you a little more time if you want it. We want our customers to leave happy and will always try and help where we can. If we are fully booked, then it may not be possible to extend the time you have in our escape rooms as we need time to re-set the rooms for subsequent customers.
Are your rooms accessible for wheelchair users
Yes, we do have disabled access at our Aylesbury site for all rooms. Our traditional escape rooms at Bishop’s Stortford and Hemel Hempstead are not suitable for wheelchair users, however we can offer Virtual Reality escape room games at our Hemel site which are wheelchair friendly.
Can we have refreshments while we are there?
Yes – we have cafes at all our sites serving food and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
For bookings cancelled between 20 March and 31 August 2020, we are not able to offer refunds but are happy to give you a voucher entitling you to rebook at another time to suit you. Please note that once you have re-scheduled your escape room booking, we cannot offer any subsequent date amendments.
For bookings made from 1 September 2020 onwards, we are pleased to say that we can offer refunds in the event a booking needs to be cancelled; we appreciate that the ongoing restrictions around COVID-19 create uncertainty and plans may change as a result.
SHOULD OUR CENTRES HAVE TO CLOSE SHOULD LOCKDOWN MEASURES BE RE-INTRODUCED, FULL REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
